Hey there! I just want to start off by congratling ya for your Paleo Journey. Its funny, you eat as much as you want- you even eat when your not hungry just because your board- and the weight still comes off. That was my experiences with Paleo. I did paleo strickly for 3 months and went from 145-103 lbs. I am very short (5'1) so thats a healthy weight for my self. But it was redicious on how much body fat i managed to lose with no effort. People become very concerned and thought I was anoreixc because i become so tiny. So i started eating even more, and in turn- i still lost more. I never excerise- and still got abs! I think that when you reach your target weight, start eating more meat. in turn, eating foods that humans were meat to eat- is the best diet. Unfortuanlly, I moved overseas and started eating "normal food" again- and put on a good 15lbs. It was just the emotional eating to being in a new country. I'm hoping by the summer (May-April) I can lose that weight. best of luck!

Hi Dan -

Congratulations ... both on your weight loss and on sharing it so vividly with others.

I am a geologist, and a sometimes "Prehistorian" contributor/consultant to Professor Loren Cordain's website and newsletters ( www.thepaleodiet.com ).

The Pima Indians of Arizona are one of the best "paleo" examples of weight gain with the standard American diet. Once trading posts came into their area, and they gradually switched over to our western, "modern", diet ... these unfortunate people have had the consequence of epidemic obesity and diabetes.

I am 55, have been on a paleo diet for over 8 years, and love it. At my age, if I falter a bit, I can quickly feel the consequences and immediately go back to a more strict regime. As a result, I have all but eliminated typical medical problems at my age. I went from a typical weight of 203 to 175.

Perhaps you would like to explain your success story on our page dedicated to that. I think you will enjoy reading the many successful stories of others who have written Dr. Cordain as well. You could also link to it, which might help your visitor numbers. Our page, that I am referring to is:
www.thepaleodiet.com/success_stories

Good luck, and thank you for sharing your inspirational story with so many others that it might help.

Best of luck,
J.R. Lagoni
